Practice
A member of both the International Corporate and Litigation Departments, Mr. Zuckerman’s practice is concentrated in the fields of U.S. and international antitrust law and trade regulation, employment law, and other governmental regulation of business. In the antitrust field, he has advised clients with respect to questions under U.S. and foreign law arising out of mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, distribution arrangements, intellectual property licenses, and cooperation among competitors; he has represented clients in civil and criminal investigations by the U.S. antitrust law enforcement authorities and in civil and criminal litigation; and he has worked with local counsel in connection with investigations by foreign governments (including Germany, Japan, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the European Union). In the employment law field, he has advised clients with respect to questions arising in connection with hiring and firing individual employees, layoffs, shut-downs, and relocations; and he has represented companies in investigations by the EEOC and by state fair employment agencies, and in the federal courts.

Before joining the Firm in 1989, Mr. Zuckerman was the Director of the Bureau of Competition at the Federal Trade Commission (1986-89); Chief of Staff at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (1984-86); and Special Assistant to the Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Antitrust Division at the U.S. Department of Justice (1981-84).

Mr. Zuckerman is admitted to the Bars of the State of New York, the District of Columbia, and numerous federal courts.

He is a frequent speaker on topics concerning antitrust law, trade regulation and employment discrimination to legal, business, and other groups in the United States and in Europe.
