Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP is an international law firm that traces its origin to 1830 when the original firm was founded by two practitioners with a storied family history of public service in Connecticut. The first of a long line of lawyers and law firms extending in an unbroken chain up to the present time, our founding members, John L. and James L. Graham, were descendants of numerous public servants of note, including a Revolutionary War officer, local judges and justices and a member of Congress from Connecticut. Since then, the Firm has continually expanded its practice and presence both domestically and internationally to assist governments, businesses and individuals in a wide array of legal affairs.
Curtis Stamford was established in 1999 as an extension of the broad-based, full-service practice of the Firm’s New York headquarters. Led by experienced practitioners from Connecticut and New York, Curtis Stamford provides a wide range of services to clients based in the region and around the world. The Stamford office calls upon the resources of the Firm’s principal office in New York and ten other worldwide branches while providing services to clients with sophisticated and diverse legal needs.
The Stamford-based attorneys practice in the Firm’s core practice areas, focusing on admiralty and maritime finance, aircraft finance, asset-based lending, banking, general corporate representation, corporate finance, domestic and offshore private investment funds, eCommerce and high technology, equipment leasing, immigration and nationality law, joint ventures, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, privatizations, project finance, securities, transportation and venture capital.
